Worst man ever

Pat Robertson. What a jackass. This is what he had to say about the earthquake in Haiti which basically had ravaged the entire nation of Haiti.

In an interview on CBN, Robertson claimed Haitians signed a pact with the devil."They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you'll get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it's a deal."

Now this is Pat Robertson, founder of numerous organizations and corporations, including the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), the Christian Coalition, Flying Hospital and so on. He has won numerous awards among them Humanitarian of the Year 1982, Christian Broadcaster of the Year 1989 and more recently State of Israel Friendship Award 2002.

Why then did he, on his show The 700 Club, say that piece of bullshit instead of using his platform to help those in need? Saying that it is a blessing in disguise that Haiti was hit by the 7.2 earthquake as all the crummy buildings will be gone and replaced by new ones. In case you forgotten Haiti doesn't really have the financial capability to do so.

This isn't the only controversy he sparked. He is used to making this 'predictions' about God telling him when disasters are going to happen. This is one of the MANY things he said, and I quote:

On May 8, 2006 Robertson said, "If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms."

IF you heard the Lord right? IF? From what I remember the Lord doesn't mumble or whisper or chomp on doughnuts while speaking to his people. Obviously this didn't happen, and also his prediction in 1982 that the end of the world was coming in October 1982, and he GUARANTEED that there was to be a judgment day. Guess not.

He also denounced the Hindu and Islam religions, claiming them to be 'demonic' and 'Satanic' respectively. Seriously? What good Christian, let alone a man of his stature, will say something like that? And to cap it all off (actually there are lots more), this:

According to two Operation Blessing pilots who reported this incident to the state of Virginia for investigation in 1994, Robertson used his Operation Blessing planes to haul diamond-mining equipment to Robertson's mines in Liberia, despite the fact that Robertson was telling his 700 Club viewers that the planes were sending relief supplies to the victims of the genocide in Rwanda.

What can I say? This man is a saint indeed.
