happy birthday housemate

Dom's birthday today, and we all decided to treat ourselves to a movie and dinner at the docks here in Preston! So Dom, Daniel, Teong Rhen, Swee Leen, Niha, Kheng Xiong and I took the bus to Odeon cinema to catch the 4.30pm movie for 2012, which I must say was visually mind-blowing. Plot was not bad as well but the graphics was stunning. Guess can't download movies like this.

Then dinner at Chiquito! A nice Mexican grill and bar.

We all ordered a 3-course meal for 15pounds each, which included a starter, mains and a dessert. Had wings for starters which I thought was rather pointless to take a picture of haha. Lamb for the main course and banana taquito for dessert which was really good. Was too busy chowing down my food to take pics of what the others ate. And of course what is a good meal without alcohol eh especially at a grill n bar. Had two pitchers of margaritas though I felt that they were rather stingy on the tequila, but great overall. We were all thinking of coming here monthly since so happens that between the 7 of us there are birthdays every month from February onwards haha. Brings back good memories at Chilli's in KL.

Getting ready presents and things to bring back to KL for Christmas :D And planning to send gifts back to my parents as well through my sister who is going back Brunei. Can't wait to see Erica in a few weeks time :)

vroom

Ahh what a long weekend. And I mean it in the best possible way. Had Monday and Tuesday off as well in addition to the Saturday and Sunday. Awesome-ness. Headed down to Manchester on Saturday for Peihua's birthday dinner.

Managed to hang around at Trafford Center as well in the afternoon, and passed by Old Trafford on the bus. There was supposedly a game on that time but the car park was empty. ManUtd was playing Everton. Maybe it was too early then. Trafford Center, which is all preped up for Xmas! Was too lazy to take pictures so this is from Teong Rhen's cam.

Sweeleen and Niha both so badly wanted to go on the carousel lol. Hang around the city after the dinner, and everytime we do that it just reminds us again and again what we are missing in Preston. Place was packed and people were out at pubs and clubs and fancy dress parties. Couldn't even get seats at the cafe. And the Christmas market was already closed when we got there. Damn.

Haven't been clubbing for AGES. Even Dom and Daniel were itching to go lol. Must maketh this dream come true soon.

Sometimes it is just so hard not to break down. But still you try, in hope that things will change for the better. Because you are a man and you are meant to be strong. Nonsense.

There are times when I just don't know what to say anymore. In fact the more I say the worse it gets. And I'm always the one to blame. My reasons are always the ones that suck and unacceptable. Fine if that's the case.

If it's of any help I'm sorry.

G spots

There may be many aims to life, and different people will follow different set of rules or believes that they have.

The 3 Gs of life. Sweet.

Also notice how games overrule that single tubulo-interstitial disease note on my desktop. See, I follow the hierarchy of my guide to life quite religiously.

LOL!

Fucking watch this haha.

flashing blue lights

Went out with the ambulance and the paramedic crew this morning. At 6.30am. Disgusting time, but a bloody fun experience! The thrill of being given the legal power to drive at any speed in any direction of the road was just exhilarating. Plus unlike Malaysia there are actually LOTS of cases that need ambulances to be there within 8-10minutes. Just in one morning session alone I saw 5 cases of chest pain. Well it could have been more but there is the documentation of the patients at the hospital and other important stuff as well like having tea and biscuits.

Just love the sound of "999 mode activated" from the control panel in the ambulance and before you know it, right in the middle of a queue at the traffic lights, the siren starts blaring and cars part like the Red Sea. Or you can just swerve to the oncoming lane.

Shame that my A&E rotation is ending this week. Next up is the respiratory wards sigh. Wards are just boring. Not to mention with the swine and the seasonal flu all in full swing.

Gf hasn't had a proper night's worth of sleep for the past 4 nights due to her exams =\ Apparently has not been eating regularly as well hmm. Terrible -_- Random but funny how I almost could not wake up this morning when I have set my alarm, but managed to jolt right up when my phone vibrated cuz Andy was calling to pick me up for the ambulance service.

My electric heater is working like a charm.

Rock on!!

Band Of Skulls. The only up side to another rainy weekend. And that the internet speed is picking up after our upgrade. And that I am one day closer to 16 Dec :)

Influenced a few people so far already lol.

Gonna try to track down their next gig. Hopefully Manchester, I'm not even thinking about them coming to Preston. Have not heard a good Brit rock album in awhile, though there was Muse but a different kind of rock I suppose. Classic rock is the best and this certainly has a tinge of garage/classic rock in it.

Sweet.

Borderlands isn't such a bad game either.

Dom's Vaio keeps lagging whenever he plays this game. Weird shit. But it's really not bad at all. Think Fallout 3 was better though.

baby darling doll face honey

Interesting note. Never go to the hospital on a Saturday. Tried to be enthusiastic but the hospital was empty. A ghost town. Managed to observe an operation though. Removing a subdural hemorrhage. Cool but post mortem is still the best so far. Cutting open the person just enables the study of anatomy so much better.

Sadistic? Hardly.

Weather getting chilly. Winds getting so loud that I can't sleep, and sometimes even wakes me up.

Speaking of Brit weather, check out this Brit rock band. I think they are pretty good!

Bloody hell.

Britons scoop a £90m Euro jackpot

Two British ticketholders shared a massive £90 million jackpot in Friday night's Euromillions draw, Camelot said.

They scooped £45,570,835.50 each - the largest lottery prizes ever paid out in the UK.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "This is fantastic news. These two ticketholders have just banked the largest lottery prizes ever paid out in the country."

The spokeswoman added: "If either of the tickets belong to a single winner they will soar into the top spot on The National Lottery Rich List, trumping Glasgow postal worker Angela Kelly's £35.4 million win in August 2007.

"We have plenty of champagne on ice and are looking forward to welcoming the lucky ticketholders to the National Lottery millionaires' club."

The winning numbers were 19, 43, 45, 34 and 11. The Lucky Star numbers were 5 and 9.

From next week every Euromillions ticket will include the Millionaire Raffle game, where every week one UK player will win £1 million.

This month The National Lottery is celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Since the launch more than 2,300 millionaires have been created and more than £23 billion raised for good causes.

Mum called me at 7am this morning and told me that one of my uncles passed away. He was at most in his 40's, and was married to my dad's youngest sister and has a son.

Cardiac arrest.

Life can disappear, just like that.

Anybody interested in buying 1-year user license serial number for Kaspersky Internet Security 2010? I will have 2 numbers up for sale soon if I can get potential buyers. Payments up front and price is negotiable within reason.

HAPPY 8 MONTHS :) and counting..

The bee forgotten it tsk tsk. BUT its ok (this time around) cuz she has EOS next week lol. I still love you don't worry. Want to put up nice pictures of us but figured that they have all been used up for one purpose or the other sigh. Must take more in December!

Post-mortem was great by the way. Kind of weird seeing two men lying dead on a table with their chest walls open revealing a hollow orifice, but it was awesome! Being able to (FINALLY) study the organs in a real human body is really so much better and different from reading Gray's or Netter's. Or using models for that matter. Managed to see pulmonary embolism - which apparently is rather rare - and also fatty liver which thanks to alcohol is fairly common here.

50mb internet upgrade coming this weekend! Hopefully no more peak hours and speed limits cuz let's face it we all download a lot. Not only me but my housemates as well. Streaming and gaming too. And of course researching and reading the latest medical journals.

Weather is getting worse and worse. The winter cometh.

Waiting for this game to be released to see how good it is. Yes yes it is like DotA cuz it is inspired by it, with the characters and skills pretty much similar with a few tweaks and graphic changes. Beta is out already for some users only, so...

happy returns

Back in the A&E today after a 2 week absence and I must say it felt so much better than being in a GP clinic. Making me rethink my career path.

Getting the chance to be in the mortuary tomorrow. Let's hope there will be at least one interesting case for post-mortem; well not that I am hoping lots of people will die by tonight, but...just saying, for learning purposes it will be cool haha.

Guy Fawkes Night coming up on the 5th, this Thursday. Really hope to make it for the bonfire, at least then it will be warm.

So many birthdays coming soon and they are all so important people's birthdays as well. Due to the distance I suppose I can't give them presents now can I? =D Heng's this weekend, the sister's and the bee's both next week.

Youtubing around and Seth MacFarlane is super! Lol the voiceover for Family Guy clips just hilarious.

when you are free...

Another evidence that people just don't know what they are doing.

Sending Rachel Adedeji home on tonight's X Factor. What the hell John and Edward are still in the show, not in the bottom two, and they are just....man. Words fail me, and not in a good way lol.

X Factor on YouTube

There goes another weekend. Spent trying to win cash on the online casino. Should've stopped when I was $40 ahead sigh. On the bright side no more GP postings tomorrow. Back to A&E and halfdays. And Skype with the gf in the afternoons. And play games at night. Wish there is something more that I could do for the bee though, her EOS is less than a week to go and apparently the N&D lecturers are already preparing the resit papers cuz the exam paper is very tough (?!)

Britain's Indian summer ended with rain rain and more rain. With a crazy gale as well this morning when I woke up. But temperatures going up instead of down for now. Weird.
